Here are a couple of teaser shots from this Thursday’s, Wine and Words Gala put on by the Centre for Family Literacy. I had done some event coverage for ATB (who sponsored the centre’s COW bus) earlier this year. When their photographer had to cancel last minute for this event, the organizers phoned me in a pinch. I think I managed to make it from downtown to Terwilligar in 20 mins (a new record!) to change and grab the gear.

The event was a fundraiser featuring Canadian musicians Jim Cuddy and Kathleen Edwards and was hosted by Mark Schultz. Jim and Kathleen dined with guests and then put on an intimate and unique concert where they discussed the intended meaning behind the lyrics of some of their songs.
