Hi there! It’s time for a voting contest! Alysia and I had such an awesome portrait session and now we have the task of figuring out which photo to print for her parents. We’ve narrowed it down to one frame but we can’t decide between black and white or colour.

Here’s where you come in…

I'd vote for the colour. The b&w seems to have a bit too much sharpening and contrast, leaving exaggerated dark circles under the eyes and deep lines in the lips. In combination with the cold blue hue it leaves the subject with a slightly distressed appearance. The colour version has a nice softness to it, and my eye is immediately drawn to the subjects' eyes. The subject appears youthful and fresh, which would be the most appropriate choice to give to her parents, I would think.

I vote for the colour one. Alysia's eyes have always been my favourite feature of hers, so why not show them off in colour?!

Wow so far looks like colour is def the choice. That's kind of what we thought but didn't want to count out the black and white just in case. Keep voting for your chance to win a mini portrait session!

My vote is for Color! I think the black and white is a little to harsh contrast for a portrait gift. I like how in the color one all the edges are soft and the colors all work well together (shirt/eyes). But hey, thats just all my opinion :)
